My name is Roan Young. I am currently a sophomore at Drexel University studying animation and visual effects. I am on track to graduate in the spring of 2027. Apart from being in school, I have a few personal projects that range from producing a music video to getting a band together. I had grown up on the coast of Maine with a younger brother and 4 small dogs. But my life back home is nothing like it is in university. I much rather enjoy the city, even if I do miss the dogs I had grown up with. Only a few years ago did I not know what I was planning on doing with my future and my life ahead of me. That was before I started looking at potential careers and a further education. That journey brought my love for technology and art together to greet me where I am today studying at Drexel University. My education has led me to learn more than I thought I could. Currently I am still developing my skills as a 3d artist. At the moment I am familiar with: Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Substance Painter, Python, Zbrush, and Nuke. I plan on continuing my education at Drexel University and to focus my skills on the more technical aspect of animation, this includes learning to write scripts that will better help with animation. I also plan on pursuing rigging as a profession once I graduate.
